Common Core Graduation Requirements

4 credits of English

4 credits of Math

3 credits of Science (Physical Science, Biology, and Environmental Science)

3 credits of Social Studies (World History, U.S. History, and Civics)

1 credit Physical Education/Health

½ credit Oral Communications

½ credit Fine Arts

An additional 6 credits must be completed by students in Elective Coursework (Career Focus)

Total of 22 credits required for class of 2011

Total of 24 credits required for class of 2012 &2013

Total of 26 credits required for class of 2014

Beginning with the class of 2014 ½ credit of Economics will be required.

No student who has not completely satisfied all requirements for graduation as set forth by the Arkansas Department of Education and the Board of Directors for the Pangburn School District shall be allowed to participate in graduation ceremonies and/or exercises.

A senior who is deficient in acquiring credits necessary for graduation will have the subsequent year to satisfy deficiencies, the student may be awarded his/her diploma and will be offered the opportunity "to walk" with the class the following spring.

Smart Core Graduation Requirements

4 credits of English

4 credits of Math (Algebra I or Alg. A/B, Geometry, Algebra II, and 4

PreCal/Trig, College Algebra, or AP Statistics)

3 credits of Science (Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry- Physics required for Honor Graduates)

3 credits of Social Studies (World History, U.S. History, Civics)

1 credit Physical Education/Health

½ Credit of Oral Communications

½ Credit of Fine Arts

An additional 6 credits must be completed by students in Elective Coursework (Career Focus)

Total of 24 credits required for class of 2012&2013

Total of 26 credits required for class of 2014
