Our 5th-12th grade students and faculty were able to hear the inspirational story of Caleb Freeman this morning. This young man is a walking miracle and you can hear his full story Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Valley Baptist Church. He will also be at Valley Baptist tonight and tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. Thank you to him and his dad Jeremy for making a stop at Pangburn to visit with us and challenge our students to a plank contest! Caleb has done a 16-minute plank before, congratulations to Xander Kane for hanging in there with him and being the last one left.

Students in preschool-6th grade will be celebrating Read Across America week March 4-8. One way we plan to celebrate is by dressing up each day (see the schedule below). Also, please share pictures of your child reading with the hashtag #PSDReadAcrossAmerica Fun fact: A student who reads 20 min. a day will read around 1.8 million words per year and is more likely to score in the 90th percentile on standardized tests!

Mrs. Tharp's class built cars in class to calculate Newton's Second Law of Motion. An egg was placed in each car, then the students drove their cars down the ramp hoping their egg would not crack. Shout out to Mr. Harris's class for building the ramp!
