5th Grade Band News! Our 5th grade band students have been busy. Most fifth grade students from the Pangburn Band Program participated in the 2025 ASBOA Region Solo & Ensemble Contest this year held in Cabot. Students prepared solos and small ensembles to present for a rating from a judge. This year Levi, Emma, Allison, Landon, Aimee, Braden, Addison all performed solos and earned medals for their efforts. Levi, Emma & Allison played in a trio, as Kaitlyn and Corbin along with Aimee and Addison performing duets. All ensembles (trio & duets) earned medals. We are very proud of the effort and dedication by these students representing Pangburn at Solo & Ensemble Contest. The 5th grade is currently busy working on their next performance to be held in the Pangburn PAC May 6, 2025. They are working to make the spring concert the best! Play On 5th Grade. (Thank you Mr. Mitchell for sharing!!)

Pangburn FBLA had a great day creating a Prom/Karaoke activity today for the Project Independence Group at the CSOCC. "Growing Kindness" is our community service project this year, but this event has been an annual event we have hosted for over 10 years. All had a heartwarming fun time.

Tiger Staff Shout Out to two of our High School English teachers, Coach Christi Rolland and Ms. Pam Rousseau. Coach Rolland has been a valued part of the Pangburn Tiger team for 25 years. If you have not been with her in class you have probably seen her coaching on the basketball court or on the baseball field cheering on her two sons. She works as our 11th and 12th grade English teacher, High School girls basketball coach, and our Athletic Director. Ms.Rousseau has been at Pangburn School for 7 years, starting as a career coach and spending the last 5 teaching 9th and 10th grade English. She has been in education for 10 years and worked as a social worker and business owner before that. Thank you both for investing in our students here a Pangburn. You are appreciated!

A note from second grade....After reading “Ada Twist and the Perilous Pants” by Andrea Beaty, Mrs. Jeanne’s class participated in an experiment to determine if popcorn gave off a stronger smell before or after being popped. Students made observations before and during the heating process, created a hypothesis, and then wrote the conclusion of their findings. The class learned about how molecules move faster when they are hot, and discussed other things this would apply to. This was such a fun science connection to the class read aloud, and everyone enjoyed the tasty treat at the end!
